Williamsport Campus Partners with Toys for Toys

River Rock Academy’s Williamsport campus is spreading extra holiday cheer this year through a new partnership with Toys for Tots. The campus is serving as a collection site for donations, giving back to an organization that has already given so much to its students through the Toys for Tots Operation Turn a Page Literacy Program, which recently provided generous book donations for the school.

Operation Turn a Page is connected to Toys for Tots’ broader literacy efforts, which focus on getting age-appropriate books and educational resources into the hands of children in low-income communities so they can build strong reading skills and a brighter future. Since 2008, the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Literacy Program has provided tens of millions of books to children nationwide, extending the organization’s impact well beyond the holiday season.

Campus Director Ken Tallman shared how this partnership reflects the heart of the Williamsport team’s work:

“Our staff has been working hard to make changes and prepare students for their return back to their school district. We’re thrilled to partner with Toys for Tots this season to bring joy to local children and families. This collaboration is our way of saying THANK YOU for their amazing Operation Turn a Page Literacy Program, which gifted books to our students.”

For students, staff, and families, the initiative is not just about gifts, but a chance to practice gratitude, support neighbors, and stay connected to the wider community. By joining forces with Toys for Tots, the Williamsport campus is helping ensure more children experience a brighter holiday season while also celebrating the power of literacy and community support.
