Meet Jenna: Case Manager

Get to know Jenna Cameron, a Case Manager at our Williamsport campus, who helps students feel safe, heard, and supported as they work toward their goals!
What is your favorite thing about working at River Rock Academy?
River Rock Academy has provided me with the opportunity to work with amazing staff and individuals. We learn a little more about ourselves and the students we serve each day. Our team at the Williamsport campus has become like a family and they make each day enjoyable!
What has been your career trajectory? How did you end up where you are today?
I was hired as a Behavior Coach in October of 2024. I enjoyed my position as it allowed me to learn about our students, their goals, struggles, and triumphs. I was offered the position of Case Manager to start off the 2025-2026 school year, and I didn’t have to think twice about it! Along with this, I was given the opportunity to further my education and work toward my bachelor’s degree in social work while I adjust to my new position.
How do you make an impact on students’ lives?
Being able to form a bonding relationship with each student individually allows us to provide the structure and trust that our students need. It’s rewarding to become someone they can go to for support and help guide them in the right direction. My goal is to help each and every student be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be!
What does a “day in the life” look like for your role?
A “day in the life” at River Rock Academy is ever-changing. One thing that t I always do is start each day by greeting each of our students as they enter the school. From there, my average day consists of meeting with students to check-in or provide support with something they may be struggling with. I learn a lot about our students and what means the most to them, and that is how we’re able to create meaningful change.
Why do you think your role is important at River Rock Academy?
I feel that everyone needs someone to lean on at some point in their lives. Sometimes the struggles that our students deal with can simply get too heavy for them to bear on their own. It’s important for them to know that they’re not alone and that I’m someone they can come to when their problems feel too difficult. I always do my best to be a constant support for them in this setting and do what I can to guide them toward success.
How do you make River Rock Academy a safe place for our students?
Safety is a number one priority at River Rock Academy. I provide our students a place to speak their mind without judgment and to be themselves. In order for our students to receive an education and build positive relationships in this environment, they need to feel safe to do so.
What has been your proudest moment or accomplishment in your role?
I take great pride in the relationships I build with our students. It is a true accomplishment when that one student, who you could never imagine opening up, feels comfortable enough to come out of their shell and be who they really are. Something that could seem so small to some could be groundbreaking in another’s eyes.
What is a fun fact about you not many people know?
I can list all 50 states in alphabetical order in one breath.
