February 2026 Recap

February brought a mix of celebration, creativity, and new beginnings across River Rock Academy campuses. Staff shared favorite moments that highlight how students are building skills, confidence, and community. Let’s recap our favorite memories from each campus!
Amity Campus
Our Amity campus students enjoyed the annual Valentine celebration, which focused on friendship and school spirit. Interactive games like “Get to Know Your Classmates” helped students share fun facts about themselves, make new connections, and practice kindness in a relaxed setting.
Bradford County Campus
At our Bradford County campus, students continued their work with guest speaker Ron James, who used a game of UNO to guide deep self-reflection. Each card color represented a different question, prompting students to think about changes they want to make, reasons they might give up, and reasons to keep working toward improvement.
Carlisle Campus
Carlisle highlighted its “Student of the Week” program, where peers nominate classmates for acts of kindness, leadership, responsibility, and perseverance. One especially meaningful moment came when a student who had struggled behaviorally was nominated for making noticeable improvements.
Clifton Heights Campus
Clifton Heights launched its first young men’s group, giving students space to talk about manhood, responsibility, and future goals. The group provided a structured setting for honest discussion, self-reflection, and building a positive sense of identity.
Cressona Campus
Our Cressona campus hosted a school-wide presentation from the Pennsylvania State Police. Students learned about safety, the role of law enforcement, and had the chance to ask questions.
Indiana Campus
It’s been more than one full month in the new building on Philadelphia Street for our Indiana campus. Having a dedicated space allowed staff to design routines and classrooms that better support students, and learners adjusted smoothly to the new environment while continuing strong academic and social progress.
Lancaster Campus
Students at our Lancaster campus continued their Winter Olympics theme with a building-wide competition in events such as Speed Skating, Uphill Ski Slope, and Curling. Students competed in the spirit of sportsmanship while cheering one another on.
Red Lion Campus
Red Lion celebrated National Chili Day with a staff chili cookoff that brought plenty of friendly competition. Staff shared their best recipes, and the title of Chili Champion went to Ms. Chappel for her white chicken chili.
Sinking Spring Campus
Our Sinking Spring campus welcomed two new team members, school counselor Melissa Terwilliger and math teacher Emma Clark. Both quickly built strong relationships with students and staff, bringing fresh energy, expertise, and a shared commitment to student success.
Spring Grove Campus
Spring Grove students enjoyed a visit from Creatures Great and Small, which brought a variety of animals to campus. Students learned interesting facts about each animal and had opportunities to interact with them.
From Valentine celebrations and guest speakers to new programs and spaces, February offered meaningful experiences across River Rock Academy campuses. River Rock Academy looks forward to sharing more moments of growth in the months ahead.
