Multi-Tiered System of Support at River Rock Academy

At River Rock Academy, our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), is a comprehensive framework of support designed to assist all students in achieving success academically, behaviorally, and in their social-emotional development. Universal screening tools, assessments, and our daily behavioral system (TALID) determine which tier of support and interventions are most appropriate for each student. As we enter our fourth year of implementation, our staff have embraced the framework as a working model of program delivery at River Rock Academy for all students.

Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) underpins the system as a foundational premise that all students should have the opportunity to grow and achieve in an individualized, positive, and supportive environment. This year, our Campus Teams will be reading a book about Tier 2 Interventions and using that research in their work to better serve our students.
